Fault Detection and Diagnosis of Aircraft Electro Hydrostatic Actuator Control System

Electro hydrostatic actuator (EHA) is a key component of the actuation control system of modern aircraft. In order to maintain a high level of safety, fault detection and diagnosis of EHA control system is of great importance even though some degree of redundancy in the system already exists. In this paper, some common and detectable faults/failures of EHA control system are summarized, and some useful model-based fault detection and diagnosis methods are reviewed and discussed in details.
