A Conceptual Design of Nuclear Safety Parameter Supervision and Display System

The paper presents a framework of safety parameter supervision and display system at sea-borne nuclear power plants. The functional and technical characteristics of the nuclear safety parameter supervision and display system including design philosophy, safety-critical parameter selection and hierarchical graphical display are introduced. The safety parameters are in function oriented and hierarchical organized so that the attention of main control room operators can be focused on the monitoring the safety. The design implemented with hierarchical functional organization could provide the most adequate indicators to aid in effective safety parameter supervision and management.
