The Evolution of the Aircraft Electric Power Systems

This article presents development of aircraft on board power systems from the onset of the first simple systems that took electrical power of a minimal value and their gradual development and expansion into high-performance electrical systems that are currently replacing other power systems - pneumatic and hydraulic. There is a reference to the undisputed benefits of electrical and electronic systems for managing individual operations. The article presents the vision of the All-Electrified-Aircraft as well as an Electric-Aircraft as one of the possible solutions to the future of transportation in view of the current environmental situation. We also refer to SEPS - Superconducting-Electrical-Power-Systems, which will require a complete overhaul of the power engineering architecture.
