A method of track's nonsmoothness detection based on wavelet transform

Based on the study of the interrelationship between the railway carriage abnormal vibration and the track nonsmoothness, this paper detects track's vertical nonsmoothness by analysing the carriage's vibrating acceleration using the wavelet analysis. From the results of the wavelet transformation carried out on the real signals of railway carriage's vertical vibrating acceleration, it is concluded that track's vertical nonsmoothness can be detected by the approach.
