On Polarization Matching Algorithm of VICTS Antenna

A polarization matching algorithm of Variably Inclined Continuous Transverse Stub (VICTS) Antenna is proposed. Vector synthesis and coordinate transformation is used to get the polarization vector and the rotate angle of the polarization control layer is proposed based on the effect of the layer on the polarization vector. And the accuracy of proposed algorithm is verified by measuring the received signal strength using the beacon receiver compared with the case where the metal grid is rotated with the polarization angle. The proposed algorithm provides a theoretical basis for VICTS antenna servo system to achieve polarization matching automatically.
