Design of 5 Way Wide Band Wilkinson Power Divider for 6 to 18 GHz Applications

This paper deals with the design and simulation of 5-way Wilkinson power divider for defense applications. The designed power divider is having a bandwidth of 12 GHz from 6 GHz to 18 GHz frequency range with isolation below −15 dB. In the design, a
$95\ \text{mm} \times 95\ \text{mm} \times 0.8\ \text{mm}$
size RT duroid 5880 substrate with relative permittivity of 2.2 and loss tangent of 0.0004 is utilized. Multiple sections of equal power split and unequal power split Wilkinson power divider blocks are utilized in this design to achieve wide bandwidth operation. The design and analysis are carried out using Keysight ADS software package and detailed performance parameters such as return loss, isolation, insertion loss and phase plots have been discussed in detail.
