Research on the Interaction Between Luxi Back-To-Back And Yongfu HVDe

This paper focuses on the interaction between Luxi back-to-back and Yongfu HVDC. Based on the analysis of grid structure, the multi-infeed interaction factor (MIIF) is adopted to evaluate the degree of interaction between two HVDC systems. Also MIIF is used to judge the commutation failure of the receiving terminal converter. Finally, the interaction between the two HVDC systems under the current and planning grid structure is simulated. Simulation results show the validity and correctness of the evaluation method by MIIF. At the same time, it also shows that Yongfu HVDC is influenced more by the Luxi back-to-back. The new 500kV transmission line from Luxi converter station to Yanshan substation will increase MIIF between the two HVDC systems. This paper can provide guidance for power grid planning near the HVDC system.
