Wordpress Honeypot Module

Web security issues are and will remain one of the biggest threats on the Internet in nowadays. In order to prevent some of these vulnerabilities, you can use web honeypot programs that collect data about attacks. Having information about those attacks tendencies, an important amount of the vulnerabilities of web applications in an organization can be prevented using web honeypots. In this paper we investigate design considerations for a Wordpress honeypot module, which are capable to preserve the high interaction capability of the honeypot. The experimental results show that the proposed honeypot module helps to find new vulnerabilities in plugins and themes if an attacker tries to exploit one of these.
