The Leverage Effect of Large Capacity Centralized Heat Storage for Wind Power Consumption

The large scale electric heat storage is very obvious to improve the power dissipation of the power grid. However, there are few quantitative studies on its function, especially the quantification of the improvement of the regulating capacity of the thermal power plant. In this paper, the working principle and dispatching strategy of large capacity heat storage device installed in a large thermal power plant are briefly introduced and analyzed. This paper proposes a lever analysis method for heat storage devices before and after input, as well as during the beginning and the end of heating. The relationship between the capacity of heat storage device and the demand of heat network and the constraint of power grid is discussed. Combined with the actual case, the lever multiplier of regulation capacity of the heat storage device relative to the heat storage capacity and before heat storage input is analyzed. The regulation capacity of heat storage device to thermal power plant during heating period is quantified, which is of great significance to fully understand the role of heat storage technology in the elimination of wind power in the northern region.
