A MILP Model for Optimizing Distributed Resource System with Energy Storage and PV Considering Energy Storage Life Loss

The optimized operation of the distributed resource system with energy storage and PV is of great significance for integration of renewable energy and improving the efficiency of power grid operation. In this paper, considering the influence of battery charging and discharging schedule on battery life loss, a chance constrained programming based optimal operation model is proposed. With the minimum operating cost and battery life cost of the distributed resources system as the objective function, the linearization method is developed to transfer the nonlinear optimization model to a mixed integer linear programming(MILP)model which can be solved by off-the-shelf commercial solvers. The simulation results show that facilitated with energy storage system, the distributed integrated renewable energy system has great potential to reduce peaks and fill valleys.
