Verification of A MATLAB Program for Shaped Dual Reflector Antenna

A dual reflector antenna is fast becoming a crucial instrument in point-to-point communication system due to their capability to produce high gain. This paper investigates the accuracies of calculation program by using Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) software based on conventional method of ray tracing concept. The designed antenna is aimed to cover frequency of 28 GHz. This MATLAB program yields the shape of reflecting surfaces, ray tracing, aperture distribution and radiation pattern. According to comparison results, it shows a good agreement between theoretical and simulation results. Accuracy of the developed MATLAB code is ensured.
