A Compressed Sensing Based Miniaturized Photoacoustic Imaging System

A miniaturized photoacoustic systems, such as portable and wearable device is one of the most potential research directions for photoacoustic system. In order to improve the performance of miniaturized system, high compression and high SNR processing of the sampled data are usually needed before it transmitted to user end. In this paper, a compressed sensing based compression and its corresponding recovering method are proposed. Since the compression is implemented efficiently only by serval additions and subtractions, it could be effectively incorporated into low power hardware platform. The experiment results show that the proposed method could recover the signal from compressed measurement as low as 10% and suppress the noise by 5.3dB at the same time.
