Research on 12-pulse phase controlled rectifier for nuclear power generating stations

With the development of nuclear power meets with china's strategy of green low-carbon energy, the DC operation power supply of nuclear power generating stations will be widely applied. In view of the demand for high-power, isolation and voltage regulated power supply and the harmonic pollution problem of 6-pulse phase controlled rectifier, a 12-pulse phase controlled rectifier charger suitable for nuclear power generating stations is proposed in combination with the advantages of the multiplex technology. The main circuit topology is presented, the working principle is elaborated, the key device parameters are designed, and 450kVA charger engineering prototype is developed. The experimental results that it can realize the power supply demand and show the effectiveness and feasibility of the design. It can provide some reference for the engineering application of nuclear power generating stations charger.
