Aluminum alloy defects testing using Magneto-acousto-electrial

In this paper, we report our theoretical and experimental investigations on a new nondestructive testing method referred to as magneto-acousto-electrical nondestructive testing (MAE- NDT). This method offers an alternative to detecting the flaws in aluminum alloy material invisible or not suitable to the other nondestructive testing methods. Firstly, this present paper demonstrates the feasibility of this new method by considering a simple1-D model. Then, in the experimental part, the experimental setup and methods were developed and the some detected signals were presented. The promising experimental results and theoretical derivation suggest the feasibility of the proposed MAE-NDT approach.
