Simulation and Design of Ka-Band Micro-strip Array Antenna

This paper describes the design methodology and simulation of two different types of array antenna i.e. (8x8 and 4x4) for Ka-band. The present antenna operates at 30.5 GHz which is suitable for most of the Ka-band application. Micro-strip line feeding technology is used in this design. Reflection coefficient is less than -10dB in both cases and gain is 26.26 dB and 20.12 dB for the 8x8 and 4x4 array model respectively. The Micro-strip array antenna design and simulation is done using ANSYS HFSS software tools. The present antenna design has attractive physical properties in size and has better performance in terms of VSWR, Radiation Pattern.
