A Broad-band Transition Between a Silicon Waveguide and a CPWG at W-band

This paper presents a novel broad-band silicon waveguide based transition at W-band. The proposed transition from a CPWG line to a silicon image waveguide demonstrates the insertion loss of better than 0.65 dB within the range of 85-110 GHz. The silicon image waveguide location is fixed by two sets of legs for increasing the mechanical stability and reducing the alignment challenges.
