Diagnostics of Engine oil of Internal Combustion Engine by Electrophysical Method of Control

To ensure the normal service life of internal combustion engines, engine oils must meet a number of General requirements. The article shows the relationship between the main parameters of the oil and the technical condition of the internal combustion engine. Under the influence of changing thermal and mechanical loads, motor oils change their chemical structure, are contaminated with wear products, fuel, water and other components and when reaching critical values of the parameters, their operational properties deteriorate. For the timely replacement of working motor oils according to their actual condition, it is necessary to conduct a discrete monitoring of the oil quality. In addition, the quality of motor oils can predict not only the life of the oil, but also the condition of the components and assemblies of the engine, thereby preventing emergency equipment failures during its operation. The article presents the results of studies of electrophysical methods of the quality control of motor oils on the results of which in the future it is possible to identify not only the initial degree of “aging” of the oils, but also to evaluate the residual life of the engine and units as a whole, without their disassembly.
