The Realization of Bartlett Null-forming Weight for Broadband Signals in Time-domain

In the array signal processing, the Bartlett weight is an effective way to form a null-forming in a fixed direction to suppress coherent interference. The weight is only related to the direction of interference, does not depending on the received signal and has a clear explicit solution. The Bartlett weight has the advantage of small calculation and good stability. The mathematical derivation and implementation of the existing literature on broadband null-forming are mostly given in the frequency domain. The frequency domain method can directly obtain the spatial spectrum and frequency domain beam output results, but cannot directly obtain the time domain waveform, which has brought inconvenience for the subsequent time domain signal processing. In this paper, a time-domain implementation method of broadband Bartlett beam nulling is proposed. The time domain implementation steps are deduced theoretically. The method can directly obtain the time domain beam output signal after beam nulling of the specific direction interference. The performance is mathematically compared with the frequency domain method and the feasibility is verified by the simulation.
