Energy Savings through Ammonia Based Absorption Chiller System: A proposed Strategy

Almost 36.9% of the non-renewable energy is being produced from the fossil fuels in all over the world. It is being used for many purposes like (power generation and transportation). This high productivity of electricity via burning the fossil fuels have caused significant environmental hazards by releasing toxics and harmful gases like carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, etc. And these gases are the cause of damaging the ozone layer. A lot of energy research is done in parallel to these fossil fuels in order to reduce its hazards and Absorption Refrigeration System is one of them. An absorption refrigeration system is becoming important because it provides higher cooling capacity and can be powered through other energy sources (e.g., solar energy, steam turbines, sun, geothermal). An ARS do not deplete the ozone layer hence it is not dangerous for the environment. Our purpose is to develop and fabricate a prototype of Ammonia Water Single Stage ARS. The main idea of this prototype is to get Ammonia Water heated in the generator so that its vapors as a coolant flow in the system ahead to the final stage (evaporator) of the system.
