Improving the Performance of a Vibration Electromagnetic Actuator Based on Active Magnetic Springs

This paper presents a synthesis of methods used to improve the constructive and functional characteristics of an electromagnetic actuator based on active magnetic spring. Following the studies and the theoretical analysis based on numerical simulations, a new model of vibration electromagnetic actuator, with active magnetic spring and ferromagnetic housing, was built and tested. The test results confirmed the performance of the prototype over the reference model previously constructed, resulting in much higher forces and vibration amplitudes.
