Realization of the ASV Remote Operation by Digital Convenience Radio

In 2016, we developed a semi-submersible ASV (Autonomous Surface Vehicle) that can track and control AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). However, in actual operation, the reliability of ASV's communication became a problem, so we modified the ASV and installed a new communication device called DCR (Digital Convenience Radio). DCR is Japanese communication standard using UHF band which deregulated maritime use in recent years. This device realized ASV's stable communication in the range of several kilometers.
