Simulation and Prototype Experiment Research of a Four Stroke Free Piston Engine

A four-stroke free-piston engine system is proposed. The simulation model of the engine system is built and the working process of the system is simulated. Based on the results of the simulation, an experimental prototype is fabricated. The prototype can achieve continuous and stable operation. When the throttle valve position is 18.5%, the system output power is 3.1kw and the power efficiency of the system reaches 38.4%.
