New Analysis Regarding Electromagnetic Field Emissions of a Wireless Device

The rapid development of IT technologies, the apparition of internet, diverse social networks, the increase of online transmission and data in time along with video images, has led to the achievement of new modern, performant equipment which meet these actual requirements. Together with these achievements, interdisciplinary researches have also begun regarding the determination of electromagnetic field emissions of these devices along with their short-term, average and long-term effects over the human health.Within this article, the results of some recent experimental determination have been presented in terms of electromagnetic field emissions for a router type AC750 Dual Band, 750 Mbps, 2.4 GHz frequently used to connect to the internet in homes, offices, campuses etc. The measurements have been performed in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory within National Institute for Research Development and Testing in Electrical Engineering of Craiova - ICMET using the latest and most modern equipment (a dipole antenna of PCD-8250 type precision manufactured by the company ARC SEIBERSDORF and a spectrum analyser type Anritsu Spectrum Master MS 2711D). The experimental results have underlined that the electromagnetic field emission values are within the accepted limit currently regulated.
