The Comparative Study in the Performance of Bifacial and Monofacial c-Si Photovoltaic Modules under the Specific Sequential Tests

Comparative study of bifacial and monofacial c-Si module performance under specific sequential tests were demonstrated in this article. The tests in each sequence include preconditioning, UV exposure, dynamic mechanical load test, thermal cycling, humidity freeze and damp heat according to qualification protocol IEC 61215, IEC TS 62782 and IEC 62892 (draft). In addition, the effect of long term temperature cycling and extended damp heat were used to assess the material failure induced power degradation in both bifacial and monofacial c-Si modules.
