Designing and Simulating of Synchronous Permanent Magnet Motor with Damper Winding

The designing results of permanent magnet synchronous motor with damping winding presented in the paper. The advantages of the motor designed comparing to the induction motors are shown. The ability to start the motor driving it by the u/f control is investigated. It is detected, that damping windings proposed provides smooth start under load.
