Key Generator with a Forming Contour

Since the energy efficiency of the radio transmitting devices is mainly determined by the output stage, the solution to this problem is largely reduced to improving the circuit design and the choice of the optimal mode of operation of the power amplifier. In this respect, as shown in the article, the most promising direction is the use of “key” modes of the generator. In this article, as a generator with external excitation, it is proposed to apply a resonant inverter operating in class E mode, the load circuit of which consists of a two-circuit oscillatory system. The first contour - forming, has a very low quality, the value of which is within 1.5-2. The second circuit has high quality and provides filtering function of the output signal. As shown by the results of the study of the authors, the efficiency of the inverter considered, operating in optimal mode, reaches 90-95%.
