Thermophysical Processes During Electrochemical Treatment with a Laser

The paper presents the theoretical assessment of the electrode processes during the laser activation of the electrochemical dissolving by using the methods of non-equilibrium thermodynamics is presented in the paper. The solutions to the thermo-physical task for solid and liquid media of the electrochemical system taking into consideration the possible inaccuracy in calculating the temperature field are obtained. It is established that the relative inaccuracy in deter-mining the temperature field does not depend on the parameters of the laser radiation but is entirely determined by the thermophysical properties of the processed material and electrolyte. The quantitative evaluation of the thermo-physical processes is presented on the example of the laser-electrochemical processing of titanium in water solutions of the electrolyte. It is shown that the main inaccuracy in determining the temperatures under the influence of the pulse laser radiation on the electrochemical system is connected with the presence of heat removal deep into the electrolyte.
