Algorithms and Methods of Data Processing from Raster Photoelectric Coordinators

In the article results of researches on perfection of methods of processing of information signals of optical raster coordinators on the basis of integral photodetectors are presented. It is shown that the application of optimal geometric relationships between the raster period, the width of the bands and the size of the photosensitive surface of the photodetector in combination with the storing of the photosensor responses throughout the entire range of displacements makes it possible to reduce the measurement error to 3-6% of the raster period. This error is due mainly to the transverse vibrations of the optical raster strip and the defects that arise during its longterm operation.
