C-Band Digitally Controlled Phase Shifter Design

The paper presents simulation results of the C-band digitally controlled active vector-sum phase shifter (VSPS) which is implemented in 0.18 μm SiGe BiCMOS technology. VSPS provides digital 6-bit discrete phase control in the range from 0° to 354.5° with 5.625° step. Power consumption is below 110 mW. Post-layout simulation of VSPS shows absolute phase error <;0.7° in bandwidth 4-6 GHz with absolute gain error <;0.2 dB.
