Abstract:

The most common technical undertaking to ensure electromagnetic safety is shielding sources of electromagnetic radiation or defended objects. However, known shielding material do not provide reliable protection from electromagnetic radiation, and the most effective of them have a high price category. An easy-to-use and inexpensive device is offered, which allows to reduce the levels of electromagnetic radiation in a wide frequency range and is characterized by a reduced laboriousness of manufacturing. The results of measurements of levels of electromagnetic fields in a limited frequency range from the radiation source, which is shielded by various materials, are presented. Graphical dependences of the electric field shielding efficiency on the distance between electromagnetic radiation source and the meter for different shielding materials and frequency ranges are constructed. It is shown that the developed device provides high efficiency of electric field shielding. Therefore, this device can be used to normalize the electromagnetic environment at any municipal and industrial facilities in a non-aggressive environment.
