Development of the Intelligent Decision Support System for Situation Management of Hydro Units

The process of situation management for hydro unit commitment requires making decisions by operating personnel of a power plant. However, current situations of power generation regimes at a hydropower plant are characterized by uncertainty and a weak possibility of forecasting. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system for analysis the current technical state of power equipment at a hydropower plant. Control criteria for hydro unit commitment are determined in the paper. Examples of calculating situation evaluations for technical state of power equipment by methods of fuzzy logic are shown. The analysis of making alternative decisions using situation evaluations of hydro units is also performed.
