Researches of the Mandelstam - Brillouin Backcatter Features in the Erbium-Doped Optical Fiber

The work is devoted to the researches of the Mandelstam - Brillouin scatter characteristics in the erbium-doped single-mode optical fiber. Reflectograms of the Brillouin optical time-domain reflectometer, graphic dependences of strain and loss on the basis of research tests are analyzed. Analysis of the experimental data shows considerable differences in dependences of the erbium-doped optical fiber from the same dependences of other fiber types. The work was performed with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation within the scope of the base part of a State Assignment within the sphere of scientific activity (Project No. 8.9334.2017/8.9).
