Critical usage factors of ICT in higher education. Case study on Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are widely applied in many sectors including education offering new ways of interaction, knowledge dissemination and mobility. Higher education students are familiar with the technology from very young ages. This study suggests and examines potential factors that may influence ICT usage of higher education students. A case study of a Greek higher educational institute is presented. Results reveal the extend that each of the presented factors influence students perceptions regarding ICT use.
