3D Polymer Based Fabry-Pérot Interferometer for Lab-on-Fiber Applications

In this paper, we present new concept of the three-dimensional (3D) Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) prepared in IP-Dip polymer. As a fabrication technology, we used direct laser writing (DLW) lithography based on two-photon polymerisation (TPP) in the volume of the liquid IP-Dip polymer. We created 3D FPI directly integrated at the end of a single mode optical fiber as an effective sensing element on external stress. The proposed FPI with 34 μm cavity shows spectral modulation with resonant maximums with period of app. 35 nm in the region of 1550 nm. Proposed sensitivity achieved 45.5 nm spectral shift at 1 μm mechanical deformation in the measured reflected spectrum.
