Performance Analysis of 1.2 kW Laboratory Prototype of MC interfaced Wind Turbine Emulator

This paper presents the modeling and development of different components of the proposed matrix converter (MC) wind energy conversion system (WECS). The proposed system is developed using MATLAB/Simulink. In this work, a wind turbine emulator which drives the PMSG is used for laboratory tests. A space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) switching has been used to enhance dynamic performance. It also investigates the performance of the hardware laboratory prototype of proposed wind generation system under various balanced/unbalanced conditions.
