Model-Free Controller for Suppressing Circulating Currents in Parallel-Connected Inverters

Paralleled inverters with common DC and AC-buses are widely used to address high-power and/or reliable applications. Besides, such arrangement gives rise to a number of concerns, especially circulating currents which decline the overall system performance. To handle this issue, in this contribution, a new sharing strategy based on optimal model free controller is proposed. This controller is based on the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm which is used in solving the control tracking problems, where the objective function does not need prior knowledge of the system parameters. The use of GWO algorithm is motivated by its convergence efficiency and low-computational cost. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme ensures the desired performance in terms of power-quality and minimizes the circulation current under different loading scenarios.
