Dual Band U Shaped Fractal Monopole Antenna

Fractal geometries are attracting attention of antenna designers because of its compact size and multiband properties. This paper presents a U-shape fractal antenna with two iterations. The proposed antenna has dimension 40×39 mm

. This dual band antenna offers the impedance bandwidth of 2.11 GHz-3.36 GHz and 3.74 GHz-9.28 GHz. The antenna realizes notch characteristics in WiMAX band of frequencies (3.3-3.7 GHz). The proposed antenna issuitable for Bluetooth, ISM, WLAN and C band used for satellite communication.
