Abstract:

According to the past history of flying objects, design and use of quadcopters came into reality inearly nineties. Later, so many changes were made based on the structure to make them even more tiny or compact and to increase the capability of maneuvering and hovering. But the market availability of quadcopters with extra features and kits gained public recognition after late nineties. And over the last two decades, the design and implementation of quadcopters for human welfare have become a major topic of research. Quadcopters have many features like onboard camera facility, computer vision to track a moving object and controller with wi-fi or GPS tracking facility. In this paper, we proposed the design of a microcontroller (Arduino Uno) based quadcopter that has security features like detection of metal, spray of fire extinguishing liquid in high rise buildings when fire takes place. This design will not only provide protection in advance during security checking but will also provide accessibility to low income households. The entire setup consists of Arduino Uno, MPU-6050 3 Axis Gyro, propeller, Lipo battery, quadcopter frame with landing kits, RC Receiver, brushless motor, 30A ESC, RC Transmitter with FS-iA6 Receiver, 555Timer IC, DC motor, copper coil, flame sensor and buzzer.
