Low-Complexity Detection for Space-Time Block Coded Spatial Modulation Systems

Space-time block coded spatial modulation (STBC-SM) systems offer higher capacity by increasing the number of transmitter antennas. This is at the cost of complexity for optimally decoding the received symbol increasing exponentially. In this paper, a low-complexity detector is proposed for STBC-SM systems. It offers high capacity with a small loss in diversity gain when compared to the optimal detection.
