Graph-based ERP Software Evolution under Internet

Component evolution provides an efficient means to improve the flexibility of ERP systems as requirements change. Research on the effect analysis of component evolution is the main content of this paper. For doing it well, a hierarchy model, including three abstracted semantic layers, was provided first from the perspective of best practices obtained from our developments. In this model, reusable units with three granularities were defined. And then, based on this model, a directed graph was constructed to depict CBS consisting of components and the correlation among them. And the construction process was given in detail. Finally, a graph-based analysis method was proposed to evaluate the ripple effect of component evolution and its propagation. The analysis and examples showed that the method was more practical than the existing methods.
