Research on the Application of Bat Algorithm in the Medium and Long Term Optimization of Reservoir Operation

Medium-and long-term optimization of reservoir operation is a multidimensional nonlinear optimization problem, which is of great significance for improving the utilization efficiency of reservoirs. In order to solve the difficult problem of medium and long term reservoir operation, bat algorithm is proposed. In order to improve the convergence accuracy of the algorithm, standard bat algorithm is revised to avoid premature appearance. The improved bat algorithm is applied to the medium and long term optimization in reservoir operation. Examples show that compared with other algorithm, the bat algorithm has better results and faster convergence. The efficient solving ability and low calculating time of bat algorithm provide a new way of solving reservoir operation problem.
