Grid Interface of Renewable Energy Sources Using3-Ph 3-Level DCMLI

A simplified method to interface Renewable Energy Sources (RES) with utility-grid using 3-ph 3-level diode clamped inverter (DCMLI) is presented in this paper. Sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technique is used for controlling the frequency and voltage of the grid-tie inverter. The paper comprises of control algorithm for implementation of proposed technique using DSP, sensor and signal conditioning circuit description. Simulation results are presented in the paper using MATLAB-SIMULINK model to describe the simplicity of the proposed technique.
