Design of Handling Gripper and its Application to Smart Pet Robot

Design of handling gripper of robot has been one focus of technology developmentOnce the gripping objects are random patterns, the distortion or damage may be caused due to the fixed gripping force. To improve the drawbacks and simplify the architecture, three functions have been implemented in this research: (1) Image recognition of the position and type ofthe grasped object and the identification step consists of the following four steps; (2) Mechanism design and prototype making of a simple bionic handling gripper; (3) Controller design for the bionic handling gripper and the smart pet robot. From the simulated results and the implemented prototype, the proposed hardware architecture, neural network identification model and TSK fuzzy controller possess good recognition and tracking ability.
