High Efficient Interleaved Boost Converter for Photovoltaic Applications

This paper aims to identify the efficient interleaved boost converter for photovoltaic applications. The soft switching of boost converter has been done to reducing the switching losses thereby enhancing the efficiency. The soft switching circuit consists of coupled inductor and capacitor, connected across the switch legs of interleaved boost modules and output stages. The volume and cost of the converter circuit can be reduced by coupling two input inductors. The operation of MOSFET is based on Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) technique. The proposed converter has been simulated with MATLAB. The duty cycle of three level interleaved boost converters is controlled by PI Controller. The proposed three level interleaved boost converter simulation results are checked with hardware results.
