Surface of Plane Electrodes in Different Discharge Modes with Highly Inhomogeneous Electric Fields

Here we analyze the effect of different discharge modes in atmospheric pressure air with a highly inhomogeneous electric field on the surface of plane Cu electrodes. The discharge modes include a diffuse discharge, a diffuse discharge with electrode spots, and a spark discharge which are formed in gaps of different widths at different voltages, currents, and pulse durations.
