10 Years of Radarsat-2 Flight Operations

RADARSAT-2 has now surpassed 10 years of routine Operations. The Spacecraft and the overall system continue to perform beyond their original design specifications. Payload availability and performance are maintained at such a high level thanks to the quality of the original design, careful system monitoring and continuous improvement. A variety of performance metrics are carefully trended by the Operations team, and key systems are continuously adjusted. The operational priorities have focused on expanding the capabilities of the mission in order to meet user demands, and to ensure that a high level of performance is achieved for years to come. Careful attention is paid to balancing risk management and the mission priorities. As a precursor to the upcoming RADARSAT Constellation Mission
