Compact Antennas Pattern Measurement Setup at 240 GHz

In this paper a compact radiation pattern measurement setup at 240 GHz is investigated. It consists on a millimeter-wave source as transmitter (Tx) and a Schottky diode as receiver (Rx). Three different horn antennas fabricated with different fabrication techniques are presented: Stereolithography Apparatus (A2), Selective Laser Sintering (A3) and commercial metallic (A1). Radiation patterns are discussed and compared, as well as dynamic range. A good agreement between simulation and measurement results was obtained.
