Abstract:

In 1963, John Seybold started the company Rocappi to use computer technology to produce and typeset complex, high-quality books, catalogs, directories, manuals, magazines, and other typeset documents. Over the next seven years, with the participation of his son, Jonathan W. Seybold, Rocappi pioneered the use of computers for publishing.
