Robustness of Second-Harmonic Generation in a Hybrid SiN/Polymer Waveguide

We design a hybrid silicon-nitride / polymer slot waveguide that employs modal phase-matching for generation of second harmonic of a 1550 nm beam, with an order-of-magnitude improvement over a channel waveguide. The performance is not degraded by waveguide bending with radius down to ∼150 μm.
