Comparative Study on Front-End Parameter Identification Methods for Wireless Power Transfer Without Wireless Communication Systems

In this paper, five front-end parameter identification methods are compared for wireless power transfer applications by considering estimation accuracy, valid frequency range, the maximum number of identifiable parameters, execution time, scalability, and minimum sampling rate. The front-end parameter identification methods are shown to be time efficient, accurate and powerful and demonstrate huge potentials as compared to methods with wireless commutation systems. It is envisaged that front-end parameter identification techniques can be used as a powerful tool in future WPT applications.
